As Mercedes owners, this is becoming an all too common word when it comes to finding parts, especially interior plastic pieces. Even more commonly, the R230 generation of SL’s have a poorly designed flap that breaks very easily, leaving an unsightly gap in your rear hat shelf.

We have teamed up with a small German company, R230-Parts-Only to solve this issue. They 3D Print new flaps, wrap them with OE MB Leather or MB Tex, and re-engineered the hinges which are now metal instead of plastic. While most examples are black, we offer every OE Mercedes color of leather or MB Tex.

While you can order the “Carefree Kit” from us and install it yourself, we highly recommend removing your panels and sending them to us for installation. This ensures perfect installation and gives you the peace of mind knowing they will last much longer than buying new panels.
