At European Starr, we admire the timeless lines and elegant beauty of classic Mercedes-Benz models, and our recent project involving a stunning Signal Red 280SL perfectly captures the essence of "out with the old, in with the new (and shiny!). Injecting New Life:
The heart of any car is its engine, and for this M130 powered Pagoda, we decided to give it a new lease on life by installing a brand-new set of injection pump lines. This upgrade not only enhances performance by ensuring the lines are clean and clear of debris, but also ensures the engine's longevity, allowing it to continue purring with that distinctive classic Mercedes-Benz sound for years to come.
Brake Master Reservoir – Safety First:
Safety is paramount, and we take it seriously. As part of our comprehensive restoration process, we replaced the brake master cylinder, brake master reservoir, and flushed all of the fluid ensuring that this 280SL stops as beautifully as it accelerates.
Aesthetic Elegance:
Our commitment to perfection extends beyond mechanical upgrades to the aesthetic details that make these classics truly exceptional. We took the time to clean up and paint the brake booster and engine air filter housing, restoring them to their original glory. This not only enhances the visual appeal but also pays homage to the timeless design that makes the Pagoda a piece of automotive art.
A Touch of Brilliance:
In our pursuit of perfection, we couldn't resist adding some finishing touches – polishing the amazing brass coolant reservoir, and the beautifully cadmium plated injection pump lines. These small yet significant details adds a touch of brilliance to the engine bay, showcasing the craftsmanship that Mercedes-Benz is renowned for.
