Andreas Gerneck, born in 1971 developed a fascination for automotive technology from an early age. Growing up surrounded by the iconic Mercedes-Benz brand in his hometown, his passion for cars became a driving force that shaped his future.

In 1989, Andreas embarked on a journey that would solidify his place in the automotive world. He enrolled in the prestigious Mercedes-Benz factory apprenticeship program in Stuttgart, Germany, where he competed against 1500 students and secured an impressive second place. This early recognition foreshadowed the exceptional career that lay ahead.

In 1995, Andreas set his sights on new horizons and moved to the United States, landing in Chicago. There, he joined a Mercedes-Benz dealership, where he would eventually cross paths and forge a lifelong friendship with Pierre, future owner of European Starr. Andreas' technical prowess quickly earned him the title of a Master Technician.

Over the course of a decade, Andreas not only demonstrated his expertise in diagnosing and repairing complex automotive issues but also assumed a leadership role as a team leader, contributing to the overall success of the dealership. Andreas also achieved acclaim as the first technician trained on the Maybach line of vehicles in New York.

In 2005, Andreas decided to take his passion to the next level by establishing his own independent repair shop in Illinois. For the next 12 years, his business flourished, earning a reputation for top-notch service and unparalleled diagnostic skills. Andreas became a trusted name in the local automotive community, known for his commitment to excellence and dedication to customer satisfaction.

In 2017, Andreas embarked on a new chapter in his career by joining forces with his long-time friends Pierre and Bob at European Starr in Sarasota, Florida. This move marked the beginning of a collaborative venture that would further showcase Andreas's exceptional skills on a broader stage.
