Born with a natural fascination for cars, Alex Lathrop's journey in the automotive industry began at a young age, fueled by his innate curiosity and love for all things automotive. Alex's childhood was adorned with a collection of Hot Wheels™ cars, dominated by Mercedes models that ignited his imagination and sparked his interest in the world of Mercedes-Benz.

During his high school years, Alex's passion for automobiles only grew stronger. Together with his brother, he delved into the intricacies of automotive mechanics, spending countless hours dismantling and reassembling a Mercedes in their home garage. This hands-on experience not only deepened his understanding of vehicle mechanics but also solidified his determination to pursue a career in the automotive industry.

In 2011, Alex took his first step into the professional automotive world when he secured a position at a local performance shop in Sarasota. Little did he know that this opportunity would mark the beginning of an extraordinary journey. It was here that Alex crossed paths with Pierre, the future owner of European Starr, and Steve Jones, his future teammate. Together, they shared a common passion for excellence in automotive craftsmanship and a drive to push the boundaries of innovation.

In 2013, Alex's career trajectory took another significant turn when he transitioned to a role at a local exotic luxury dealership. It was during this time that he crossed paths with Joseph J Serrone, another key figure who would later become his teammate at European Starr. Through his experiences at the dealership, Alex honed his skills in customer service, parts procuring, and gained invaluable insights into the world of high-end luxury vehicles.

In 2021, Alex's journey came full circle when he joined European Starr. As a valued member of the team, Alex brings not only his expertise but also his unwavering passion for Mercedes-Benz innovation, driving European Starr towards new heights of success.
